I have had various interests in my life. My latest hobby started strangely and accidentally. Well, when my younger son had to make a figurine out of wood for a "handicraft" lesson, and I didn't have a suitable piece of wood, so I took a garden "cart" and went with my son to the forest to get some wood. Following his instructions, we found a linden tree and cut a small piece from the dried branch. However, my son's work was not going well; it was too small and the goat was too big. So I finished for him. Later, another piece of wood fell into my hand; I made him a little devil. Then, and this was a turning point and a significant moment, I started to carve a figurine of "Jesus looking out from a piece of a cut branch" with a razor-sharpened garden saw. Significant because blood was shed. At one point I cut two fingers at once with this boot. There was blood, and lots of it. I considered it my own sign and my sculptural baptism. After this incident, I decided to collect normal tools, i.e. carving chisels and a decent table, in the form of a thick slice from the trunk of a thick cherry tree that my neighbor had just cut down. I don't like modern, abstract, surrealist sculpture, etc. However, I like to create works based on images created in my imagination. Others don't have to like my work, it's enough that I and my wife like it. I'm happy if others like them, but I don't care. A common motif in my works is the face of an old man, because it contains a kind of beauty that cannot be found in other motifs. In other words, "I carve what I like in wood."

After graduating in 1976 Technical Secondary School of Electronics in Bytom, and then in 1980, physics at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of the University of Silesia, I started working at Zakłady Tworzyw Sztucznych Nitroerg S.A. in Krupski Młyn. After several years of work, I was entrusted with the task of establishing the IT Department, which I managed for 20 years. Later, on my professional path, at the Silesian University of Technology, I completed Postgraduate Studies in Computer Networks and Microcomputer Systems. At the same university, I was able to pursue a PhD in the area of ​​integration of relational databases.
